After an intense corporate career, I decided to stay home after the birth of my first child. 9 years later, with my youngest off to school, I chose to reinvent myself and entered the Professional Chef Program at CookStreet School of Fine Cooking. My goal was to become a personal chef. My family’s joke while I was in full time school was that we needed a personal chef during that time. Being gone from the house 10 hours a day drove home the point that it is really hard to get a meal on the table at the end of a long day. This made me realize that my new career choice was not only right for me but was something that families really need.

I believe that food is an integral part of a person’s health and well-being. What we choose to put inside our bodies is one of the most important choices we make each day. It is because of this belief that I carefully prepare my menus and ingredients to balance good health and great taste. Our current culture of processed meals, fast food and eating on the run, has robbed our families of mealtime traditions and taken its toll on our health.
